A poster series comprised of short poems, each written entirely out of the names of MAC cosmetic’s most popular tubes of lipstick.
Nomenclature of color has always fascinated me. As I child, I remember routinely puzzling over the “razzmatazz” crayon, trying to figure out exactly what was going on there.
As adults, the names of the colors we encounter have a bit more to say. Looking at the most popular shades of lipstick in MAC’s repertoire, I set about creating a poster series that stripped all the visual distractions away from the cosmetics in order to zero in on the language of makeup.
